GSAC was delighted to once again host a community-wide Water Forum.
This is the 4th consecutive year that we have brought together experts in their fields to discuss important water quality issues.
Ray Christman has helped plan and moderate this year’s Forum as he has in past years. During his seven years on City Council, Ray was a consistent champion for protecting our natural environment and for efforts around resiliency planning and investment. He continues to be a leader on these fronts in his post-Council career.”
The 2026 Forum focuses on resiliency, a high-priority issue for the City of Naples and GSAC members, especially since Hurricane Ian struck a devastating blow in 2022 and was followed by more hurricane activity in 2024.
It’s also a particularly timely topic as Resiliency will be a key component of the Naples Comprehensive Plan, which is being updated this year.
This year’s forum is titled Resiliency Planning/Investing in Naples.
Dr. George Yilmaz, Assistant City Manager Critical Infrastructure & Public Works, discussed the current City of Naples Resiliency Plan and planning process. Download his presentation here.
