Red Tide clean-up efforts of the inland bays began March 3 after City Council authorized the city manager to spend up to $100,000 to expedite the removal of the accumulation of dead fish within the city’s waterways. Four boats and crews worked throughout the week with nets and hooks to clear Venetian and Moorings Bays.

To report dead fish or red tide symptoms, please call Collier County Pollution Control at (239) 252-2502.
