Mayor Bill Barnett

For 47 years, Barnett has dedicated is career to public service and protecting Naples’ unique quality of life as the community has grown. He has also received national recognition for his leadership during times of crisis, most recently during the preparation and recovery following Hurricane Irma. 

While raising his family in Naples, Barnett has dedicated his time to supporting local non-profit organizations that are improving the quality of life for all Naples residents. 

His service has earned him recognition including:

  • Naples Daily News “Citizen of the Year”
  • Gulfshore Life Magazine’s “Top Men & Women of the Year”
  • Education Foundation Champions for Learning “Top Men of Distinction”
  • Legal Aid Service of Collier County “Champion Of Justice Award”
  • Naples Alliance for Children “Child Advocate of the Year”

He is currently serving on The Shelter for Abused Women & Children of Collier County’s Board of Directors. As a charity auctioneer for over 30 years  Barnett has assisted many local charities in raising millions of dollars at gala events.
